What is the MLS?

The Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is a cooperative information network of licensed real estate offices in the Bay Islands.  It is called the Roatan Multiple Listing Service (RMLS or Roatan MLS) because it started in Roatan, but it is the only MLS that services all the Bay Islands.

Who is part of the MLS?

Not all real estate offices are members of the MLS. Members have access to, and share information regarding homes and properties they are marketing through the MLS, and as important, are also subject to a strict code of ethics they must adhere to. Its essentially a way for different real estate office in Utila, Roatan, and Guanaja to work together and ensure high standards are met.   Utila Realty is the ONLY real estate office on Utila that is a part of the MLS.

By working with a member of the MLS you have a professional on your side who has access to the largest number of listings, or access to the largest number of available buyers, through the MLS and will abide by a strong code of ethics. A MLS member is committed to serving you throughout the real estate process.

The MLS trademark is a symbol used only by those professionals who belong to the Roatan Multi Listing Service and subscribe to its strict Code of Ethics.
