While this cabin was originally built in 2010 it has been significantly updated by the current owners with the addition of a 266 sq ft front porch, a 84 sq ft laundry area with fresh water shower, and increasing the Cistern water storage capacity from 400 gallons to around 2,400 gallons.
The cabin is located on the South Shore of Utila in an area known as The Well and is diagonally opposite Diamond Key. The location benefits from minimal beachfront erosion. It is a short boat ride from the property to the Utila Cays where local supplies and provisions are available. The property is accessed by boat from Utila Town center and also the South Shore backtrack.
PVC guttering at the edges of the rust-resistant metal roof feed water to the cistern which in turn feeds a water pressure pump and an electric hot water storage tank. There is a split-unit air conditioner that cools the bedroom and the main living area.
The cabin is built at the rear of a 0.257 acre lot with 107 feet of beachfront. There is sufficient area available to build a large home between the cabin and the beachfront.
